The town of Monteriggioni is the center of Tuscany; is easily accessible due to proximity to the Siena-Florence and the Via Cassia.
Monteriggioni is a town built by the Sienese in 1200, but in time it was often a cause of clashes between Siena and Florence.
Its main feature is the city wall, which, with 14 towers, was for centuries one of the most important sentinels sienna.
